Harriton quarterback Pat Moriarty broke the Central League’s career passing records in yardage and touchdowns as the Rams came from behind to edge Strath Haven, 36-35, making him a no-brainer for MVP in the Central League. Lanier helped the Knights to claim the Del Val title with an undefeated record in the league and their first victory over Interboro since 1994. The Academy Park running back slashed his way through Interboro’s defense, finishing with 122 yards and a touchdown in the Knights’ 49-26 win. Jerry Lanier was recognized as the top player in the Del Val League. The performance earned Butts Independent Schools MVP honors at the Delaware County Football Coaches Association meeting Monday night.
